Help Kids:

The Kros Learning
Group Story

Kros Learning Group is fueled by a shared mission: empowering helping adults like you to build resilience in the children you serve. We believe every adult has the potential to make a positive impact, shaping brighter futures for all.

Frank Kros, MSW, JD:

A Passionate Advocate

Our mission – Helping Adults Help Kids – stems from the lifelong dedication of Frank Kros, our founder. With over 40 years of experience in child-serving organizations, Frank has worn many hats – childcare worker, child abuse investigator, attorney specializing in family law – witnessing firsthand the challenges and triumphs of children and families.

Driven by a deep understanding of these complexities, Frank didn't want to limit his impact to a single organization. In 2019, he founded Kros Learning Group to share his knowledge and proven strategies with a wider audience.

Expertise You Can Trust

Frank is a recognized leader in the field. He's a passionate speaker, receiving the Maryland Governor's Citation for his work on adolescent suicide prevention. His expertise extends to providing expert testimony to the U.S. Senate on childhood trauma and being a certified Master Trainer in Adverse Childhood Experiences.

Frank's commitment is further solidified by his appointment to Maryland's Inaugural Commission on Trauma-Informed Care and his recent certification as a HOPE Facilitator through Tufts Medicine. He's also the co-author of two influential books on improving services for traumatized children: "Creating the Upside Down Organization: Transforming Staff to Save Troubled Children" (2012) and "Creating the Upside Down Organization: Reinventing Group Care" (2015).
